    When to Go to Mykonos 

    When you decide to visit Mykonos, depends on your preferences. Below is a little more information on the different times to visit the island, this way you can choose the best time for you. 

    The peak season or summer is between June and August. This is when Mykonos is busiest with tourists, as the warm temperatures and blue skies create the perfect time for days on the beach. Mykonos Town is also bustling during this time, with holidaymakers enjoying the vibrant night scene, alongside the other attractions around the island. There are plenty of things to do in summer, however, if you’re seeking a little peace, you might prefer visiting in some of the quieter months. 

    Winter or the low season is from November to March. The island is generally much quieter during this time, with many of the attractions, tourist spots and hotels closing for the year. This is a great time to explore Mykonos if you’re hoping to avoid the busy crowds and hotter weather. Temperatures are much cooler in the low season, a lovely time to get out and active throughout the island. 

    Between April and May or September and October are known as the shoulder seasons. This is on either side of the island’s peak tourist period and is also an ideal time to explore Mykonos. The weather is pleasant, with warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine, providing a comfortable climate to get out and explore. There are also fewer tourists during this time, yet many of the bars, restaurants, and hotels are open in preparation for summer.
