The property is approximately a 20 minute drive from Catania Airport and boasts seven bedrooms and an abundance of space. The estate dates back to the 16th century and is reminiscent of another era with its antique furnishings, scattered stone statues and exquisite gardens.
This traditional Sicilian villa has painted wood bed frames, imposing wardrobes and carved dressers and ornamental tables throughout thus giving an elegant and historical ambience. The grand entrance hall is furnished with traditional furniture and elegant chairs surround the fireplace to create a formal seating area. Next to the seating area is the original wine press, now transformed into a sitting room with small dining table. An additional dining room is accessed via a corridor which in turn leads to a colourful Sicilian kitchen. The dining room and kitchen both have direct access to the gardens.
A small reading room gives access to the three downstairs bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed with adjacent bathroom. The other two bedrooms are adjoining and both have ensuite bathrooms. A staircase near the reading room leads up to the other two double bedrooms located on the upper attic floor. Each has ensuite bathroom.
A guest house is located on the estate and houses two more bedrooms. One bedroom has double bed and one has twin beds. The twin bedroom has ensuite bathroom and the double bedroom has an adjacent bathroom. There is also a living room and kitchenette.
Villa Perlina has wonderful clients filled with ancient rosed, jasmine and camellias that weave around stone columns and walls. You can enjoy the scent of the flora whilst relaxing on a sun lounger around the swimming pool. Alongside the pool is a changing room with bathroom.
For casual alfresco dining, there is a lovely BBQ area and outdoor dining table and chairs on the patio. Two vast conservatories, dotted with large planters containing citrus trees are also found in the garden.
