Some of our favourites include Shoal Bay East, one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful beaches with powdery white sand and turquoise waters, Rendezvous Bay, a long, peaceful stretch perfect for swimming and sunset views and Meads Bay, ideal for beachside dining and luxury resorts.
The island has some wonderful, award-winning restaurants, fusing local flavours and produce with international favourites. With over a hundred places to eat boasting some of the Caribbean’s most talented chefs, from fine dining to simple and tasty roadside bbqs and beachside bistros, you are spoilt for choice. We recommend trying local specialities like grilled crayfish and Johnny cakes.
A visit to Dune Preserve, a famous beach bar owned by reggae star Bankie Banx is a must while on the island, we also recommend Da’Vida Beach Club for live entertainment. Home to A-listers and celebrities, at the tiny island of Scilly Cay you can enjoy a live reggae band and fresh lobster. A visit to The Heritage Collection Museum is also recommended for a glimpse into Anguilla’s history.
Anguilla offers some of the Caribbean’s best snorkelling and diving, with crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and diverse marine life. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced diver, the island has plenty of underwater adventures to explore. A few locations we recommend are Little Bay and Shoal Bay East with its large reef and abundant tropical fish, and the dive site at The Wreck of the Sarah, a sunken freighter teeming with sea life.
During these months the weather will be mostly warm and dry with temperatures ranging from 25–28°C. This is the most popular time to visit, with perfect conditions for swimming, snorkelling, and sailing.
During this time the weather will be hotter and more humid, with temperatures ranging from 26–31°C. Rain showers are more frequent, especially from August to October, which is also hurricane season. However, there are still plenty of sunny days and tourist numbers will be lower giving a more relaxed feel.
