The harbour is full of small fishing boats and the promenade is lined with seafood restaurants and chic bars. The Old Town is full of traditional whitewashed houses framed with bright cascading bougainvillea as well as boutiques, small restaurants and local shops. 

The main beach in Kalkan is just east of the harbour. Plenty of sun loungers are available on the small pebbly shoreline. Many beach clubs are also dotted along the harbour and are accessible by small boats provided by each establishment. Traditional wooden boats, called Gulets, will also take visitors to the beaches, islands and inlets nearby. 

There is much to explore in the surrounding area with some of Turkey’s most dramatic scenery, historical sites and mountain villages nearby.
