Overview

Villa Akra is a lovely six-bedroom villa set in the centre of Barbati on Corfu's northeast coast, within easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants, shops, and a handful of well-known beach clubs. It's one of the few villas in this part of the island where a rental car genuinely isn't necessary as everything you are likely to need is right on the doorstep! 

Access to the villa is via a short driveway from the main street, with the entrance on the middle floor. This level has four bedrooms, three are doubles and one is a twin. The master bedroom on this floor has an en-suite shower room while a family shower room with walk-in glass shower is shared between the other rooms. The well-equipped gym is also located on this level for those keen to keep fit on holiday. 

The upper floor is home to the main open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area, with French doors opening onto a balcony with panoramic views along the coastline. There is also a separate TV room and a large family bathroom with a walk-in glass shower on this level. The lower ground floor has two further bedrooms, one twin and one double with a single bed, along with a second kitchen, which is a practical addition for groups spending time around the pool.

The recently built swimming pool is the centrepiece of the outdoor space, surrounded by stone terracing, quality wooden sun loungers with cushions, and bean bags. The outdoor kitchen has a traditional stone-built BBQ and a dining area with space for up to 12 guests, making it the perfect setup for evenings in when you don't want to head out.

Barbati is well known for its clear water and popular beach scene. Bahia Mare and Piedra del Mar beach clubs are both a short walk away, along with a good selection of waterfront restaurants and cafés. The pebble beach also has watersports facilities and boat hire for those wanting to explore the coastline.
