Overview

Monis Villa 1 is a stunning eight-bedroom contemporary villa set on a hillside in the Elounda area of eastern Crete, with panoramic views across the Mediterranean and the Cretan landscape. Across 456 square metres, it accommodates up to 16 guests and sits within a 13,700 square metre private estate shared with the next door Monis Villa 2. The two properties are 180 metres apart and can be booked individually or together as a combined 16-bedroom estate for larger groups of up to 32.

The villa is spread across three levels. The ground floor has a large open-plan living and dining room with high ceilings, a fireplace, bar area, study, and satellite TV, with French doors opening onto a shaded lounge terrace and the pool area. There is also a fully equipped kitchen leading to outdoor dining terraces. Six of the eight bedrooms are within the main house across the ground, first, and lower ground floors, with two further independently accessed guest rooms offering additional privacy. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and sea views, and several have private terraces or direct garden and pool access.

The lower ground floor also has a well-equipped gym with a range of equipment including a stepper, bike, weights machines, cycling machine, boxing bag, and yoga mats.

Outside, the infinity pool is the centrepiece of the terrace, which has multiple shaded dining areas, the largest of which can seat up to 30 guests, as well as an open-air kitchen and lounge areas. The grounds are professionally landscaped with olive trees, aromatic herbs, and colourful planting, and include carefully designed paths through the estate's natural vegetation. A hidden private playground sits between the two villas, which is ideal for families with younger children.
