Overview

Cisterna is a two-bedroom apartment within the Torre Sponda complex that comes with a wonderfully interesting backstory. Years ago in Positano, people used to store water in Roman-style arched cisterns built into their gardens, and the houses built nearby were named after them, giving this property its distinctive name. 

The property offers a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to four guests. One bedroom has a king-size double bed, while the second has two single beds that can be joined together, a flexible arrangement that works equally well for couples, friends or a small family. Standard facilities include air conditioning, Wi-Fi, cable TV and mid-week maid service. Cisterna can also be connected with Piccola Cisterna to add one more additional bedroom, accommodating a total of six people. 

The real highlight, however, is outside. Cisterna has a very large private garden terrace with sweeping views over the Galli Islands and the Amalfi Coast, one of the most generous outdoor spaces in the complex, and a genuinely stunning spot for long lunches or sundowners. Guests also have access to the shared pool and the private beach which is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas as well as the beach club, via 180 steps through the Torre Sponda estate, a gated oasis of citrus and olive trees overlooking Positano Bay. 

With the colour and charm of Positano's village just a short stroll away, and the wider Amalfi Coast easily within reach, Cisterna offers an authentic and characterful base in one of Italy's most beloved corners.

Please note: 

Parking: The property does not have a private parking area. We recommend Parcheggio Di Gennaro, located just a 5–10-minute walk from Torre Sponda. The villa manager will meet you at the car park and escort you to the property. Porterage can also be arranged at an additional cost. 

Swimming Pool: The pool is open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, from May 1st to October 10th, depending on weather conditions.
