Overlooking the Gulf of Naples, with spectacular views across the Mediterranean towards Mount Vesuvius, Villa Virella is a spacious 11-bedroom property set in the peaceful hills between the Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast. Surrounded by lush gardens and Mediterranean vegetation, this traditional villa combines classic Italian character with modern comforts, making it an excellent choice for large families or groups of friends looking to enjoy the region together while having plenty of space to relax.
Arranged over three floors, the villa offers generous living spaces designed for spending time together. Several comfortable lounges provide places to gather indoors, while the large dining room has ample space for the whole group to enjoy meals together and opens directly onto the garden through French doors. The well-equipped kitchen is designed to cater for larger groups, making it easy to prepare meals during your stay.
The 11 bedrooms each have an en-suite bathroom and can be arranged with king-size or twin beds, offering flexibility for different groups. Many enjoy panoramic sea views, while all have air conditioning, heating, satellite TV, Wi-Fi and balcony access. The top-floor bedroom also opens onto a private terrace with a hot tub, providing a peaceful spot to take in the surrounding scenery.
Outside, the villa's extensive grounds are a highlight, with manicured gardens, shaded seating areas and panoramic terraces providing plenty of space to relax. A covered pergola creates a welcoming setting for alfresco dining, while the large private swimming pool features a hydromassage area for cooling off and unwinding in the sunshine. There is also a private tennis court for guests who enjoy staying active, and a sauna offers another place to relax after a day exploring the coast.
Villa Virella enjoys a peaceful hillside setting while remaining conveniently located for exploring the surrounding area. The nearest town is approximately a 15-minute walk away, with shops and restaurants close at hand, while lively Sorrento is a short drive away. From here, you can explore the historic streets and coastal scenery of the Amalfi Coast, including Positano, Amalfi and Ravello, or take a boat trip to the glamorous island of Capri. The archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, along with the city of Naples and Mount Vesuvius, also make rewarding day trips.
