Set on the western hills overlooking Lake Como, Podere La Fonte is a traditional Italian villa combining period character with modern comforts and beautiful views across the lake and surrounding mountains. Recently renovated, the property retains a number of original architectural features, including Art Deco stained-glass windows, parquet flooring and marble columns, while elegant furnishings and carefully considered details give the interiors a refined yet welcoming feel. Accommodating up to seven guests across four bedrooms and three bathrooms, it is a lovely choice for families or a small group of friends looking to explore Lake Como.

The ground floor features a spacious double sitting room, where antique pieces sit alongside contemporary upholstered furniture and several sets of French doors bring in plenty of natural light. A separate formal dining room seats up to 10 guests, providing a comfortable setting for meals together, while the fully equipped kitchen offers everything needed for preparing food during your stay. Upstairs, the four bedrooms are arranged across two floors, with panoramic lake views from several rooms. The first floor includes a king-size bedroom with a balcony and private bathroom, a queen bedroom with access to a furnished terrace, and a single bedroom. On the second floor, a twin bedroom has its own bathroom and access to a panoramic terrace. All bedrooms have air conditioning and Smart TVs.

Outside, the villa is surrounded by a landscaped private garden with mature planting, a decorative statue and a small water fountain. A panoramic terrace provides a wonderful spot to enjoy the views across Lake Como and the mountains beyond, whether over morning coffee or an evening drink. Just a few steps from the garden, a private heated swimming pool measuring 8.5 by 3 metres is complemented by a furnished sun terrace. A separate wellness area with a whirlpool provides another place to unwind, while a barbecue and outdoor dining area make the most of the setting during warmer weather.

Podere La Fonte is around five minutes by car from a nearby village with local shops and restaurants, while Como is approximately 18 minutes away. The celebrated gardens and historic villas of Lake Como are within easy reach, and the lakeside towns are ideal for exploring by ferry, with opportunities to browse boutiques, enjoy waterfront dining and discover the region’s architecture. Boat trips, watersports, walking and cycling offer plenty of ways to experience the lake and surrounding countryside.
