Overview

Sitting right on the shoreline of Lake Como, Villa Medicis is a beautifully refurbished Italian villa that strikes a lovely balance between classic character and contemporary comfort. Spanning 240 square metres across three floors, the villa accommodates up to nine guests in four en-suite bedrooms, a layout that works equally well for families or groups of friends.

The heart of the main level is a comfortable living room with sofas and TV, a dining area with direct access to the garden, a fully equipped kitchen and a laundry room. The four bedrooms are spread across the upper two floors. The configuration is two doubles and two twins, each with an en-suite bathroom and walk-in shower. The two double bedrooms each have their own adjacent sitting area with TV and sofa, one of which includes a sofa bed for an additional guest. 

Outside is where Villa Medicis really comes into its own. The 450-square-metre garden is a genuinely lovely private space, a manicured lawn running along the lake's edge, with a swimming pool, a stone pergola with panoramic lake views, and a wide patio furnished with comfortable outdoor seating for alfresco dining and evening aperitivos. From the garden, a pebble beach gives direct access to the lake for a refreshing swim, while a private pier makes it easy to arrange a boat trip or hire your own boat for the day, something we are happy to help organise.

The villa sits in the town of Lezzeno, where a water skiing club, boat rental and restaurant are all within walking distance. Bellagio, arguably Como's most popular village, is just 9km away, making it a straightforward base for exploring the famous Golden Triangle of Bellagio, Varenna and Menaggio. The town of Como itself is 20km away, with its shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants, and direct rail connections to Milan for an easy and popular day trip.
