Set on the hills overlooking the picturesque harbour of Portofino, Villa Nella is an exceptional coastal retreat surrounded by 12 acres of private parkland. With sweeping views across the Ligurian Sea and the colourful waterfront below, the villa offers a peaceful and private setting just a short walk from the town’s boutiques, restaurants and cafés. Traditional architectural features, including high beamed ceilings and a fireplace, are complemented by elegant antiques and contemporary furnishings, creating a refined yet welcoming atmosphere throughout.
The villa accommodates up to 10 guests across five bedrooms and five bathrooms, with all bedrooms featuring air conditioning. Four bedrooms are located on the ground floor, including a queen bedroom and three rooms that can be arranged with twin or queen beds. The master bedroom occupies the first floor and features a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom. The living spaces include an elegant sitting room with a fireplace and exposed wooden beams, alongside a second spacious lounge that opens onto the terrace. A formal dining room, with its vaulted ceiling and large windows overlooking the harbour, provides an impressive setting for meals together, while a fully equipped kitchen completes the main living areas.
Outside, the extensive private grounds provide plenty of space to relax and enjoy the Mediterranean setting. A panoramic saltwater swimming pool is surrounded by greenery, with a bar carved into the rock offering a distinctive spot for refreshments beside the water. Four separate outdoor dining areas allow guests to choose between open-air meals and shaded settings, including a vine-covered gazebo positioned to make the most of the sea views. The grounds also feature an outdoor gym and a boules court, while the surrounding parkland provides a tranquil escape from the lively atmosphere of Portofino below.
Villa Nella is particularly well placed for exploring the Italian Riviera, with the centre of Portofino just a short walk away. Its famous harbour is lined with restaurants and cafés, while the surrounding streets offer designer boutiques and traditional Italian shops. The nearby beach at Paraggi is also within walking distance, and boat trips provide an excellent way to discover the coastline and secluded coves. Further afield, the historic city of Genoa is ideal for a day trip, while the picturesque villages of the Cinque Terre offer another memorable excursion.
