Located in the historic centre of Nardò, in the Salento region of southern Puglia, Villa Alessandra is an elegant five-bedroom residence set within a 16th-century palazzo. Combining original architectural details with contemporary furnishings, the property offers a distinctive setting for a stay in one of Puglia’s characterful historic towns. Magnificent arches, vaulted ceilings and antique stone floors reflect the building’s heritage, while the carefully designed interiors provide modern comfort. With restaurants, wine bars and boutiques within walking distance, the villa is well placed for enjoying local life and exploring the surrounding coastline.

Villa Alessandra accommodates up to 10 guests across five bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. All bedrooms can be configured with king-size or twin beds and are air conditioned. Several open directly onto the front or rear courtyard, while the fifth has access to a private terrace. The main living and dining room is a generous, multi-purpose space, with a long dining table for meals together and a comfortable seating area for relaxing or watching a film on the built-in projection screen. The original architectural features are complemented by clean-lined furnishings and understated antique details, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The fully equipped kitchen connects to the dining area, making it convenient to prepare meals using fresh ingredients from the local markets.

At the heart of the property is an 80-square-metre private courtyard, where citrus trees and leafy orange trees provide greenery and shade. Comfortable lounge furniture and an outdoor dining area create a peaceful space for relaxing or enjoying meals in the open air. A private plunge pool, measuring approximately 3m by 5m, offers a refreshing place to cool off during the warmer months. The villa also has heating, Wi-Fi, a sound system and a separate laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. 

Villa Alessandra is an excellent base for discovering the towns and coastline of Salento. The nearby beaches of Santa Maria al Bagno and Santa Caterina are around 10 minutes away by car, offering clear water and attractive stretches of coast. Gallipoli, approximately 19 minutes away, is known for its historic old town, seafood restaurants and lively waterfront, while Lecce, around 30 minutes away, is celebrated for its impressive Baroque architecture, artisan shops and piazzas. Closer to home, Nardò’s historic centre offers traditional restaurants, local wine bars and independent boutiques to explore on foot.
