Overview

Villa La Quercia is a beautifully restored 17th-century farmhouse set within a 247-acre working estate in southeastern Sicily, surrounded by olive and orange groves, Mediterranean flowers and mature gardens. Just 7 km from the beach, the property offers a peaceful and private setting, with views towards Mount Etna and a traditional central courtyard. Archways, fountains, fireplaces and vibrant interiors add to its character.

The spacious main villa features a series of elegant living areas, including a comfortable living room, library, salon and formal dining room, together with a large professional kitchen. The accommodation is arranged around the enclosed courtyard, with each of the ten main-villa bedrooms having its own private entrance from the courtyard and an en-suite bathroom.

A separate annex, just steps from the main villa and pool, provides two further air-conditioned queen bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The 12-bedroom layout makes Cornelia particularly well suited to larger families and groups, while the individual entrances provide a good degree of privacy.

Outside, a spacious loggia overlooks the Italian gardens, with fountains, exotic trees and plenty of space for relaxing or dining. The 18-metre swimming pool is surrounded by greenery, while guests can also enjoy a private wellness area with Turkish bath and sauna. The estate also has olive and orange groves and its own horse-riding facility, adding to the property's distinctly rural setting.

Villa La Quercia is around 16 minutes from the nearest town, 10 minutes from the beach and approximately 37 minutes from Syracuse, with Catania airport around 31 minutes away. Its position between Catania and Syracuse also makes it a convenient base for exploring Mount Etna, Taormina, Noto and the wider east coast of Sicily.
