Overview

Located on the northern coast of Sicily, Villa Olivaia is a welcoming Mediterranean retreat set within a beautifully landscaped garden of approximately 3,000 square metres. The property comprises a main villa and two separate cottages, offering a flexible layout for families or groups of friends who want to holiday together while enjoying their own space. With its relaxed atmosphere, sun-filled interiors and tropical planting, the villa provides a comfortable base for enjoying the Sicilian sunshine and exploring the coast. Mondello Bay, with its sandy beach, restaurants and shops, is within walking distance.

Villa Olivaia accommodates up to nine guests across five bedrooms and four bathrooms, spread between the three separate units. In the main villa, a queen bedroom and a twin bedroom both have direct access to the garden and share a bathroom with a shower. The first cottage has a queen bedroom with an en-suite shower room, along with a single bedroom with its own private shower room. A second cottage provides a further queen bedroom with an en-suite shower room. All bedrooms are air conditioned, and the bathrooms have hairdryers. This arrangement works particularly well for families or friends travelling together, allowing everyone to enjoy time together while retaining a degree of privacy.

Inside the main villa, the interiors are bright and uncluttered, creating a relaxed setting for spending time together. An elegant sitting room with a television provides a comfortable place to unwind, while a separate dining area is suited to shared meals. The compact, well-equipped kitchen opens directly onto the patio, making it easy to move between indoor and outdoor dining. Outside, the professionally landscaped garden is filled with tropical plants and mature trees, with a private swimming pool measuring 12.5m by 4.5m at its centre. A white picket fence frames the furnished sundeck, while the patio provides a pleasant spot for al fresco meals and relaxing in the shade. Additional facilities include Wi-Fi, central heating, a dishwasher, washing machine, DVD player, barbecue and outdoor kitchen.

Villa Olivaia is ideally positioned for enjoying Mondello, one of the most popular seaside areas near Palermo. Its long sandy beach, shallow water and choice of beach clubs make it particularly appealing for families, while the nearby town has plenty of restaurants, cafés and shops to explore on foot. Palermo is approximately 26 minutes away by car and offers a wealth of cultural attractions, including historic churches, grand palaces, lively markets and excellent Sicilian restaurants. For further excursions, the Norman cathedral of Monreale and the archaeological site of Segesta are both worth considering, while the coastal town of Cefalù makes a rewarding day trip.
