Set in the scenic Val d’Orcia region of southern Tuscany, Tenuta del Sole is a welcoming country house surrounded by rolling hills and panoramic countryside views. Just a 20-minute drive from Montalcino, the property offers a peaceful setting for families or groups of friends looking to explore Tuscany’s historic towns, vineyards and local food scene. Traditional country furnishings, antique pieces and classic architectural details give the interiors plenty of character, while generous living spaces and modern amenities ensure a comfortable stay.
The villa accommodates up to eight guests across four air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower room. Two bedrooms are located on the ground floor, with direct access to the garden, while the remaining two are on the first floor. The ground-floor kitchen and dining area is arranged around a traditional brick arch, combining exposed wooden beams, terracotta flooring and marble worktops. A fireplace and large dining table create a welcoming space for meals together, while French doors open onto the garden and outdoor dining terrace. Upstairs, a spacious lounge offers plenty of comfortable seating, with large arched French doors allowing natural light to fill the room.
Outside, the landscaped grounds feature expansive lawns, a private 12-metre swimming pool and a covered lounge area for relaxing in the shade. A pergola shelters an outdoor dining table, providing an inviting setting for leisurely lunches and evening meals, while a barbecue makes outdoor entertaining easy. Guests can also enjoy a private sauna, a boules court and a vegetable garden, adding to the range of facilities available at the property.
Tenuta del Sole is perfect for discovering the Val d’Orcia, an area known for its beautiful countryside, medieval hilltop towns and celebrated wines. Montalcino is close by, while Pienza, Montepulciano, San Quirico d’Orcia and Bagno Vignoni are all worth exploring. The region also offers opportunities for wine tasting, walking, cycling and horseback riding, alongside visits to its natural thermal springs.
