Captiva Island
Captiva Island is located off the coast of southwest Florida in Lee County near Fort Myers. This island is often associated with the Sanibel. Both places offer an abundance of activities including biking, sailing, water sports, bird watching and also popular thanks to the beaches. Captiva was originally part of neighbouring Sanibel Island in the southeast but was severed in 1926 due to a storm surge which created a new channel, Blind Pass.
