St Kitts and Nevis is a dual island nation in the Caribbean and offers an authentic visitor experience. Both islands are small enough to navigate in a day but rich enough in attractions and history to keep even the most active traveller entertained. Don’t miss favorite island attractions like historic Romney Manor, Brimstone Hill Fortress, and St. George’s Anglican Church. Hop aboard the St. Kitts Scenic Railway, one of the few operating railways in the Caribbean. St Kitts is also great for wreck diving and boasts a zipline and great rainforest hikes.
A ferry connects St Kitts with its sister island Nevis, which is one of the most unspoilt and relaxing islands in the Caribbean. Vividly green with blue skies, clean air and long empty beaches, enjoy a pace of life that encourages you to stop and appreciate all the natural beauty around you. It’s a very special place famed for its charm and the easy-going genuineness of its people. Only 36 miles around, its easy to explore and navigate or take time to truly switch off in this untouched lush green paradise.
The airport in Nevis can only accommodate small planes and private jets (the international airport is on nearby sister island St Kitts). With no casinos, no giant cruise ships, no hustle and no bustle, Nevis attracts a particular type of visitor who appreciates something different, a finer quality of life.
Dotted with brightly coloured houses and with more monkeys than people, Nevis has a charm all of its own. Its quiet villages, unspoilt beaches, wonderful accommodation together with an unhurried lifestyle only add to its unique appeal.
For a small twin-island state, St Kitts & Nevis has a marvellous selection of restaurants ranging from beachfront eateries to more formal establishments. You’ll always get a friendly welcome at the restaurants. Hotel Restaurants also offer a good range including the Caribbean kitchen at Belle Mont Farm, the luxurious Four Seasons Resort and the historic Montpelier Resort.
