Overview

Pythia Beach House is a newly built beachfront property completed in 2024, sitting directly on a large sandy beach near the village of Arvi on the south coast of Crete. With 10 bedrooms accommodating up to 28 guests, it's one of the more unusual options on the island considering its size, and shares a number of similarities with the nearby Casa Eirini, making it the perfect option for large groups or those looking at the south coast specifically.

The layout is made up of a main unit and nine separate guest houses, each with their own private entrance, a setup that works particularly well for large groups who want to be together but still have their own space. The main unit has an open-plan living room, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen with direct access to the pool and terrace. Guest house 1 is a self-contained double room with an en-suite shower room and sea views. Guest houses 2 and 3 are combined as a family unit sharing a bathroom, with one double room and one triple room. Guest houses 4 through 10 are all triple rooms, each with their own en-suite bathroom, private entrance, terrace access, and sea views — beds in most rooms can be configured as either a double and single, or a king and single.

Outside, the infinity pool can be heated on request for an additional charge. The terrace has sunbeds, umbrellas, multiple shaded dining and lounge areas, a BBQ kiosk, and a traditional wood-fired oven — a nice touch for group evenings. There is also a shared tennis court on site, and a private chapel within the grounds, which would be ideal for those looking for a scenic wedding venue.
