The most convenient way to get to Koh Samui is flying with Bangkok Airways either from Bangkok itself, or from Singapore, Phuket or Pattaya. There are over twenty flights a day from Bangkok alone. Alternatively, several ferries and catamarans run from Surat Thani or Don Sak on the Thai mainland.
Thai Airways, British Airways and EVA Air fly directly from London to Bangkok. Emirates Airlines fly from Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, London, Manchester and Edinburgh via Dubai to Bangkok. From Bangkok the flight is approx 1 hour.

Thailand’s climate is tropical and high in both temperature and humidity. The dry season is December – February and is the most popular time to visit. The hottest time is March – August but may have slightly more rain. Average temperatures range from 28-35 degrees Celsius. The rainy season is September – November. It’s still hot and normally there are many sunny days in the monsoon period. On some days you might find yourself in a refreshing monsoon shower for a moment. The rain showers are often short.
