Amanpuri Garden Villas

Amanpuri Phuket is a high end luxury resort in Phuket with a selection of villas for rent, including garden villas. The resort is located above Pansea Beach on the west coast of Phuket Island, and is a 30-minute drive from Phuket airport.

Amanpuri Garden Villas have 2-8 bedrooms and each is spacious and great for families or groups of friends looking for the ultimate in a luxury holiday or a romantic hideaway. The villas offer extensive living and dining areas and are arranged around a private swimming pool. Interiors feature Thai furnishings, arts and antiques.

Of the 43 Villas, 30 were built as part of the original design of Amanpuri. Occupying a private headland, each of the original Villas consists of two to six free-standing bedrooms. The 13 most recently developed Villas are perched atop the hill adjacent to the resort. Private entrances are marked by stone walls, while the interiors exude a subtle Thai aesthetic. Floor- to-ceiling windows offer breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea. Villas feature four to eight bedrooms spread over two to four levels, all accessible by stairs or lift. Each Villa has a private pool, rooftop lounge area, media room for entertaining family and friends, and open-air and enclosed living and dining areas. All Aman Villa Homes offer live-in housekeepers and cooks.

Dining – The Terrace offers casual, all day dining in an alfresco setting and features Thai and European specialties. The Restaurant serves Italian cuisine and is open for dinner year round, and lunch between November and April. Also open during this period is Naoki, serving signature French Kaiseki fare which combines the best of French technique with Japanese artistry. The Terrace and the Restaurant are located beside the swimming pool, while Naoki is situated just steps from the beach. Weather-permitting, lunches are held at the Beach Terrace. The Bar offers poolside drinks and snacks. At dusk, half a dozen moulded, brass tables and teak, rattan- backed chairs are set out along the terrace between the pool and the steps leading to the beach. Simple selection of Mediterranean Grill Specialties as well as a cocktail bar and lounge seating is also available at the Beach Club. The Lounge located under the Italian Restaurant offers a selection of tapas wine, light alternative to lunch and dinner. From late November to April, weather and tide permitting, torch-lit barbecues are held on the beach in the evenings. Room service is available 24 hours a day in the privacy of the pavilions and outdoor salas.

Amanpuri boasts its own private beach with an abundance of water sports equipment for guests enjoyment, including hobie cats, windsurfing and kayaking. A dive centre offers PADI courses.

Although each villa has a private swimming pool, guests can also enjoy the resort swimming pool  – a 27-metre fresh-water pool finished in midnight-blue tiling. Complimentary Thai tea is served daily late in the afternoons, and traditional Thai music is performed most evenings at the pool pavilion. A 20-metre lap pool is available at the Beach Club.

For guests looking to keep up their fitness, the resort has a 350-square-metre glass-walled gym, perched on the highest point of the property and offers a Pilates studio and spectacular views. A variety of cardiovascular equipment including a Power Plate machine and free weights are available. The resort has personal trainers are on hand to provide individual attention. Alternatively, the resort has 6 tennis courts.

The Aman Spa features six spacious Thai-style pavilions, each an open, light-filled space of wood and glass with private steam room, shower, bath, dressing area and outdoor meditation sala. There is also a sauna, granite steam room and fountain terrace where health drinks are served. Complimentary guided yoga and meditation sessions are offered at daybreak in the open-sided teakwood salas set high on the hillside. The extensive Aman Spa menu includes a range of wellness therapies as well as facials, body wraps, scrubs and baths.
