Located just outside the medieval city of Siena, Villa Pietra Serena is an elegant three-storey residence set within beautifully landscaped gardens and surrounded by the Tuscan countryside. The property combines traditional architecture with an eclectic interior, where antiques, contemporary design pieces, original artwork and colourful textiles create a distinctive character. Accommodating up to 10 guests across five bedrooms, the villa is well suited to families or groups of friends seeking a private retreat with space to relax, while remaining close to one of Tuscany’s most appealing historic cities.
The ground floor is dedicated to the main living and entertaining spaces, with two sitting rooms, two dining rooms and a professional-standard kitchen. The interiors feature a mix of period details and carefully chosen furnishings, including original paintings and decorative pieces collected by the owner during their travels. Upstairs, a private wellness area is equipped with Technogym equipment, a Pilates Reformer, yoga mats and a massage bed. An internal lift connects the floors, while a separate annex provides additional privacy, with its own en-suite bedroom, comfortable living room and kitchenette. All five bedrooms have air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms.
Outside, the mature gardens offer several places to enjoy the peaceful setting. A 12-metre private swimming pool is surrounded by a white-stone terrace, with sun loungers for relaxing in the sunshine. Beneath the shade of established holm oak trees, guests can enjoy the gardens, while a large pergola provides an inviting setting for outdoor dining, with seating for up to 18 people. The estate also has its own orchard and vegetable garden, where guests can pick seasonal produce, alongside facilities for barbecues and pizza making.
Villa Pietra Serena is ideally positioned for exploring Siena, which is around 10 minutes away by car. The city’s historic centre is known for its medieval streets, impressive architecture and Piazza del Campo, home to the famous Palio horse race. The surrounding countryside offers further opportunities for day trips, including the hilltop towns of San Gimignano, Volterra and Monteriggioni, as well as the vineyards and traditional villages of the Chianti region. With daily breakfast and housekeeping included, a private pool and dedicated wellness facilities, Villa Pietra Serena combines the privacy of a countryside residence with convenient access to Tuscany’s culture, food and wine.
