The Seychelles lie just below the equator and enjoy a tropical warm climate all year round, which makes it a great all-year round destination. Temperatures tend to reach a maximum of 32°C and rarely drops below 23°C. The monsoon season is typically from November to April.
The Seychelles has some of the best views in the world, with lush tropical vegetation, picture perfect beaches and clear turquoise waters. Mahé is the biggest island of the 115 inhabited islands of the Seychelles but there is still an abundance of secluded bays only accessible by yacht, boat or on foot.
The other 2 main islands are Praslin and La Digue. Praslin has a population of 6500 people and is the second largest island in the archipelagos. Visitors often take a leisurely drive around the island, which will take 2 hours. Praslin is also home to the fabulous Vallée de Mai, one of Seychelles’s two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The island features truly exquisite beaches such as Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette, both appearing on the top-10 list of world’s best beaches in recent years.
La Digue is a close neighbour to Praslin and to its satellite islands of Félicité, Marianne and the Sisters Islands, La Digue is the fourth largest island in Seychelles. All 3 of the main islands are within easy reach of each other by sea or air.
For the more adventurous, other popular islands include Fregate or Bird Island and are particularly popular with nature lovers and bird watchers.
Some of the best restaurants can be found within the hotels. Seychelles is not renowned for its lively nightlife but there are a few nightclubs on the main islands.
