Villa Jade is a luxurious 8-bedroom villa that was constructed to ensure privacy while also affording spectacular views. The entrance to the villa is via a wooden bridge that spans a lily pond. A moon-shaped etched glass sliding door opens to reveal an expansive air-conditioned living area with views of the beautiful Marigot Bay.
The centre of the open floor area is a spacious sitting area, a great place for socialising and enjoying a cocktail. A bar seating eight defines the kitchen at the other end. The fully-equipped kitchen is glossy and sleek with a pantry located just behind.
The interior of Villa Jade combines contemporary architectural design with Asian décor which incorporates antiques, sepia-toned photos and objects d’art blended with more modern pieces.
The living area opens out onto a large terrace with ample seating and dining areas. There are upholstered chaise lounges for sun-seekers, a Jacuzzi, and a hammock – all looking out to the sea.
Villa Jade has 8 bedrooms – five are located in separate pavilions around the property and three bedrooms are located in family wing of the main house. The master suite features a king-sized bed, a sitting and dressing area and an en-suite bathroom. The en-suite is expansive and has double indoor and outdoor showers. Glass doors open up to a gazebo with a family-sized day bed. There are two children’s bedrooms, each with a queen bed. One opens to a “kids section” of the deck and the other to a small enclosed play area. Both these bedrooms share a bathroom.
Three additional master suites are privately housed in a separate pavilion and have king-size beds and overlook the bay. Each has been individually decorated and designed – There’s a “Chinese Room” incorporating abacuses into the design and the photos in the “Japan Room” provide a window into the world of geishas. There is ample closet space and the en suite baths have double vanities and outside showers with sea views. All have TV’s and sound systems.
There are two lower-level bungalows – one with an en-suite bedroom (king size bed that can be configured as a king-size bed) and is suitable for staff.
The other bungalow houses a spacious studio-style suite and is set down a few levels from the main house. It is private and features a king-size bed, a bathroom and seating area for relaxing and TV viewing.
Other facilities include an air-conditioned gym equipped with multiple exercise machines, free weights and yoga equipment. There’s a separate room for training and classes, a steam-shower room, a sauna and a private WC.
You may wish to spend evenings outdoor enjoying a BBQ and taking in the magnificent views or opt to watch a movie in the cinema room. Seven lounge chairs are tiered theatre-style for better viewing of the giant screen. The movie system has 4000 movies which can be enjoyed in the cinema room or the bedrooms.
