Casa la Bastia is a wonderful, traditional farm house located in Umbria. Comprising two houses, this property can accommodate 8 guests in 4 bedrooms. Casa la Bastia dates back a couple of hundred years and was once the house of farm workers who lived on the first floor, while the farm animals gathered in the stables below.
The houses feature authentic brickwork and exposed beams as well as arches and floors of travertine. The furniture is handmade by local craftsmen but this house is full of modern conveniences, including heated bathroom floors, WiFi and Satellite TV. Large glass doors on the ground level and big windows on the first floor ensure you can enjoy the surrounding countryside views wherever you are.
On the ground floor is a living room with fireplace, a bathroom with shower, library with fireplace and a dining room. The kitchen is well equipped with modern compliances.
Three bedrooms and a master bedroom are located on the upper floor along with 2 spacious bathrooms and an upstairs hall with fireplace.
Casa La Bastia is located on a mountain side with panoramic views. The 2 buildings are joined by an outside staircase. A spacious outside terrace is located in front of the house with different levels. Here you will find a covered alfresco dining and grill area. In the evening there is outdoor lighting in various outdoor spaces.
In front of the house there is 300 m2 terrace in different levels with a 40 m2 covered dining and grill area in front of the kitchen. In the evening there is outdoor lighting in different areas. Casa La Bastia accommodates eight people in rustic Italian authenticity.
Outside is a swimming pool and pool house from which you can continue to enjoy the unspoilt views over the mountains and valley. The pool measures 7 x 14m and is surrounded by sun loungers, chairs and tables. For added convenience, there is an outdoor shower. The pool house has a bathroom, shower room, changing room and a grill area.
Casa la Bastia is located in the province of Perugia in Umbria and a great place to explore popular towns. The nearest town is Magione and the house is close to Lake Trasimeno – the fourth largest lake in Italy.
PLEASE NOTE – The property shares the swimming pool with a neighbouring villa. This villa does not rent out and the owners are not always in residence.
